The Denali team were able to fly onto the glacier on Sunday (17 May), the same day that they drove up to Talkeetna from Anchorage. They enjoyed great views on the fly in and set up camp on the glacier. They refreshed some skills before dinner and the following morning made the journey to camp 1 at the junction of the North East Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier. On Tuesday they had a rest day waiting out a storm and see how things progressed. In the evening the menu was a Mediterranean dinner, which they enjoyed with the plan of caching half their loads today mid-way to camp 2.
