Download the Everest Expedition Prospectus here.

You will embark on a route renowned for its unique challenges and breathtaking vistas. This journey is designed for discerning, experienced adventurers seeking the pinnacle of personal achievement. It offers you a more intimate and less crowded climbing experience than the popular South Col route.

Led by Jagged Globe's team of seasoned experts, including mountaineer Robert Mads Anderson, known for his successful leadership of a new route on Everest's formidable Kangshung Face, you'll benefit from expert guidance, meticulous planning, and unparalleled personal support.

Why Choose the North Ridge?

  • A Unique and Challenging Route: the North Ridge in Tibet offers a more remote and less crowded climbing experience. It's an engaging route that rewards skill and determination, providing a distinct sense of accomplishment.
  • Unparalleled Experience: Enjoy Everest from a different perspective, traveling via Lhasa and the Potala Palace, visiting the historic Rongbuk Monastery, while passing through Tibet's dramatic landscapes and sweeping vistas, all offering a breathtaking backdrop to your climb.

Why Choose Jagged Globe?

  • Decades of Expertise: Jagged Globe has a proven track record of successful Everest expeditions since 1992, ensuring an enjoyable and well-managed climb.
  • Personalised Support: We understand that every climber is unique. Our team provides individualised guidance and support to help you prepare and succeed.
  • Commitment to Excellence: From logistics to safety protocols, we adhere to the highest standards, allowing you to focus on the climb itself.
  • Personally tailored packages for Climbers Over 50: while challenging, the North Ridge route is well-suited for experienced climbers over 50, who are physically fit, undertake the bespoke training programme and possess the necessary technical skills.
  • This is an expedition for like minded individuals who want to join together and ascend Everest as climbers, not tourists.

Leadership and Experience

Jagged Globe's team includes Robert Mads Anderson, whose accomplishments include leading a new route on Everest's challenging Kangshung Face without supplemental oxygen. His extensive experience also includes successful ascents guiding 8,000-meter peaks Cho Oyu and Shishapangma in Tibet. This experience translates to exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of Everest north side's unique challenges.

Expedition Highlights

  • Comprehensive Training Programme: we'll equip you with the skills and fitness needed for Everest through the included Uphill Athlete coach-supported training group.
  • Meticulous Acclimatisation Strategy: our carefully designed acclimatisation plan maximizes your body's adaptation to high altitude, optimising your chances of success.
  • Dedicated Sherpa Support: benefit from the strength and experience of our exceptional Sherpa team, assisting you throughout the climb.
  • Focus on Summit Success: We'll be there with you every step of the way, providing expert guidance and unwavering support as you pursue your goal.

Experience Required

To join us on Everest you should have completed Alpine climbs equivalent to AD and have prior altitude experience of at least 6,000m. Climbers who have achieved ascents of mountains such as Illimani, Chimborazo, Denali, Peak Lenin, Himlung Himal or similar, could well consider Everest via the North Ridge.

All team members need to be in excellent physical condition if they are to have a realistic chance of staying strong right up to the summit. Climbing Everest is a tough test of endurance; both physical and psychological, so you need to make sure that you are prepared for the effort required to sustain the duration of the expedition.

To join this expedition team members must have:

  • Previous high altitude experience above 6,000m.
  • Completed routes of Alpine AD and/or Scottish Grade III standard.
  • The ability to jumar and abseil/rappel fixed ropes unsupervised.
  • The ability to move between camps unsupervised.
  • Crevasse awareness and experience of crevasse rescue techniques.
  • The ability to carry loads up to 12Kg at high altitude.
  • The ability to climb on consecutive days at high altitude.
  • The ability to look after one's self whilst in high camps on the mountain.
  • Additional Information

Team Member Reviews

  • “I had the pleasure of climbing with Pem on Everest in 2022. Not only is he incredibly experienced (IFMGA guide, 16 summits of both Everest and Ama Dablam, 29 summits of 8000ers including the first ascent of K2 in Winter), he took incredible care of both myself and the wider team throughout our expedition. Despite his legendary status as a high altitude mountaineer, he remains one of the humblest and most gracious guys you could ever meet. If you want a safe pair of hands to lead you in Nepal, there is no one better than Pemchirri Sherpa. I would not hesitate to climb with him again.” DB, Everest 2022
  • “I'm very happy that I could be part of your team, everything was beyond my expectations. Hopefully I can join you on another trip.” MV, Everest 2022
  • “The Jagged Globe method 'works'. With multiple rotations of the mountain before our summit attempt, the team was ready to tackle camp 3 without oxygen and then climb higher to camp 4 in some comfort. We had to remain there for an extra day to wait for better conditions, but again we were able to cope with this and still have 100% success the next night, with the whole team topping out after dawn and before the crowds arrived.” RT, Everest 2019
  • I'm so happy I chose Jagged Globe for my attempt on Everest. I really wouldn't have got up the mountain without our fantastic guide David's experience and patience and the help of the wonderful Sherpa team. They really are the best on the mountain. It isn't easy but it is an incredible experience.
