Aconcagua update
Andy Chapman’s Aconcagua group left Mendoza at 6.30am on Tuesday after a good meal the night before. They had an excellent coffee stop on the (3 hour) drive to park entrance. They then took 3 hours to walk at a nice steady pace to Confluencia Camp where they enjoyed some excellent refreshments upon arrival. The weather is good with a slight cooling breeze. The sun goes behind the mountains at 7.15 pm and the temperature rapidly drops! Today (Wednesday) they will do an acclimatisation walk towards the south face of the mountain.
