Introductory Long Weekend

Written by Team Member Clive Rose, January 2007

Just back from our Introductory Long Weekend in an unseasonably wet and windy Scotland.

Excellent course, excellent instructor (Dave "the legend" Hanna), excellent long weekend. Laughter limited only by our exhaustion. Looking forward to the Mera trip more than ever, now.

The Onich Hotel is good - excellent food, good facilities, staff can't do enough for you, drying room came into its own. Weather's unkindness more than compensated for by the repartis and the experience.

Please pass our thanks on to Dave and (if he hasn't lost his mobile) wind him up about his fog-horn ring-tone. He was the perfect choice of instructor for us: grizzled, cynical, irreverent, laconic; and able to relate how what we were learning might be applied on our forthcoming Mera trip.

A great success.
