Autumn trips 2012 feedback

Here are some comments from team members who took part in our treks and climbs in Nepal and Ecuador, autumn 2012:

Some good feedback on our leaders:

" Neal was the best mountain leader I've ever had after 4 trips to the Himalayas. Finally a leader who understands the importance of going slow! Made my trip so much more enjoyable and do-able."

" Andy was the best trek leader on any trip I have done over the past 30 years."

" John's calm authority gave us confidence in any decisions he might need to make; Pem's experience was evident and provided us with the confidence to go for the summit knowing he was happy with the situation."

"Mungo went above and beyond and is not only a brilliant guide but a thoroughly lovely person. Despite suffering from AMS at no point did I feel worried as Mungo always took fantastic care of me (and all other clients) and ensured I was provided with prompt care and assistance. The doctor we visited on return to Quito was exemplary and also very impressed with Mungo's handling of my illness. I can not praise or thank Mungo enough for all his help."

" Mungo was superb. Always enthusiastic and very realistic! He provided an excellent interface between the clients and in-country agent/guide. His experience was very evident and I feel very lucky that he was our leader on this trip. Sebastian was also excellent! He spoke excellent English, was clearly very competent and always had the best interests of the group in hand. No problem or question was too much trouble."

" I can't praise Tenzing enough. He was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge and expertise helped us achieve our aim and made our holiday so enjoyable. I felt completely confident having him as our head guide. His local porters and assistant guide serpa respected him as well all the managers at the tea houses where we stayed. He certainly made our trek safe, comfortable and enjoyable. He was fantastic!!"

" Employing people like Jo will only enhance Jagged Globe's good reputation. She was excellent! She always gave the right amount of information, clearly and concisely, and was always happy to engage with everyone. She was also very encouraging. ( top draw )I must also stress that Ang Dowa and his team were also first class in every aspect!"

The organisation of the trips:

"I was amazed how everything went so smoothly with the travel. I was really pleased with all transport arrangements and just couldn't fault Jagged Globe staff who were there to greet us, guide us and even have fresh bottled water for us on our arrival in Kathmandu."

" It was brilliant to try different food at the Himalayan Hotel where the food was excellent - a real treat on our descent which was needed in keeping up our morale and motivation."

" The Summit hotel was the perfect pre and post trek retreat. The accommodation on the trek below about 4000m was fantastic, particularly in Namche. "

What the cook team delivers every day for that many people when on the move is quite remarkable. Outstanding effort."

" We booked our trek from outside the UK and I was very impressed by the quick and efficient e-mail responses received to all my questions from the Jagged Globe office, especially the help from Emily and Kerry in organising our equipment hire etc. Much appreciated. "

" I organised my own flight from Australia. I was very happy to have the airport pick up when I arrived. In the early hours of the morning it was nice to see someone holding a sign with my name on it!" " The fact that Jagged Globe organise much more difficult expeditions encouraged me that they had the experience to facilitate the base camp trek. Also, the Jagged Globe website was very informative and professional. "
