Mera Peak 12 April - 5 May 2000

This expedition was a great success with 7 team members and Di reaching the summit of Nepal's highest trekking peak on the 27 April. The team worked well together, with support and encouragment being given to those less experienced members who had not been on a mountaineering expedition before. Those that did not summit reached base camp, high camp and c6,100m respectively, and were highly commended for their efforts. Although the weather was not the best with rain/snow falling fairly regularly around midday, feedback has been very positive, with some members keen to try something a little more difficult. « | »
